Status of Menstrual Discrimination in India: A Report by Boondh

Menstrual Discrimination largely refers to those practices that restrict, inhibit, discriminate and render limited menstruators’ agency to participate in everyday life.  As acknowledged by a group of United Nations Human Rights Experts, this could potentially have consequences that range from mild to severe psychosocial distress and trauma to forms of violations that manifest differently in spaces of home, places of worship, schools, workplaces, etc. As part of a campaign to #StopPeriodPenalty in India,we aim to establish impactful interventions and redressal mechanisms against instances of menstrual discrimination. In the current phase we've developed  a Prevalence Data Report on Status of Menstrual Discrimination in India.
